gfc Mentoring

Supporting the Educational Journey of  Children & Young People

At GFC, we provide high-quality, safe, and tailored tutoring and mentoring support packages for children and young people aged 4 to 25. We understand that re-entering full-time education can be a daunting experience, especially for those who have faced past trauma, personal challenges, or health-related difficulties.

Our Mission

We work in close partnership with Local Authorities, community support services, and the young people we support to improve their educational outcomes, skills, and life experiences. By providing the right tools, we help individuals build the confidence and knowledge they need to gain independence and succeed in life.

Personalised Support for Every Child or Young Person

Every child or young person we work with is encouraged to be ambitious and have their unique learning needs supported. Whether within our facilities or beyond, we focus on a nurturing journey to optimise the potential for meaningful outcomes.

A Therapeutic Approach to Development

Our team is dedicated to fostering positive relationships with each young person, creating an environment where creative, purposeful, and flexible tuition programs can thrive. We aim to equip each individual with the social and practical skills necessary to reach their full potential and prepare for a bright and independent future.

curriculum

GFC will offer opportunities to provide alternative education plans using creative settings for young people who struggle to engage with traditional education. We design our educational session plans to meet the emotional needs of young people we work with, set achievable goals and make each session as enjoyable as possible. All structured and planned sessions are child or young person focused with an aim to achieve maximum engagement and participation.

GFC staff work towards educational outcomes, as outlined in any EHCP or equivalent document, we will work collaboratively with the child or young person, their parents, school, EHCP co-ordinator, social worker, and any other relevant professionals. We are committed to delivering a quality led service based on the belief that every individual should be able to lead a healthy lifestyle, taking control of their lives and contribute to any plans around their individual health needs.

We offer a varied and broad mentoring curriculum which embeds core school subjects, social skills and life skills, anger management and any other outcomes which could be outlined in their EHCP or other documentation.
